This post was written on December 11th, 2010, a time when I was overly excited; links might not work.
Amazing experience, wonderful people, awesome event.
These are the words I describe the two days spent at Launch48 hosted by Bucharest Hubb and made possible by Cristi Manafu and Evensys.
It was an amazing experience because we launched a web service (beta version) in 48 hours with a team of six. Though we had a few management problems, and the market’s problems in Romania made us orbit around the original idea (and so I learned what pivoting means), we’ve pulled ourselves together and delivered a doable business plan at the end. Part of the result can be seen at http://www.centruldepiese.ro/.
There were a lot of wonderful people, most of them I didn’t knew, some of them I am already looking up to. I appreciate all of them now and may our paths cross again!
So this awesome event confirmed me the fact that launching a web start-up isnt’s as easy as it looks, but with the right people and with a good idea, backed up by a nice business plan you can change at least a part of the world.
